Synopsis: At a time of resurgent authoritarian and far-right politics, Memory under Siege follows the Documentation Center of Austrian Resistance (DOEW)—a historical research institute dedicated to preserving the truth about Nazi crimes—as it faces increasing political pressure. The film shows how scientists begin to defend truth and democracy when these are under attack.
